Who we are

The Chef’s Choice is an MYinc-owned, order-only bakery. General enquiries can be sent to info@thechefschoice.co.za and order enquiries to orders@thechefschoice.co.za.

Information you choose to provide

When you contact us or submit an order enquiry, we may receive your name, business name, email address, telephone number, approximate quantities, dates, area and details about your requested products or occasion. We use this information to respond to enquiries, discuss an order and manage related communication.

How the enquiry form works

Unless server-side email delivery is configured, the website opens your email application with your enquiry already filled in. In that case the email is sent using your own email service, not through the website. When direct email delivery is enabled, information is processed by our Cloudflare-hosted endpoint and its configured email delivery service.

Local storage and third-party content

Your browser may retain a short list of bakes you selected and your cookie acknowledgement in local storage. This site does not intentionally run analytics or advertising trackers. It loads photographs from third-party image hosts, and fonts from Google Fonts; these providers may receive basic connection information such as your IP address when your browser requests those files.

Sharing, retention and security

Enquiry information is shared only with providers needed to operate the website and email service. We keep correspondence for the period reasonably necessary to respond and manage our business relationship, subject to applicable legal requirements. We apply reasonable organisational and technical security measures; no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask us to correct or delete information we hold about you, where applicable under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Contact info@thechefschoice.co.za. You may also raise concerns with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Updates

We may update this notice when our services or systems change. The revised date will appear at the top of this page.
